ESS company visit for Young Professionals
The European Spallation Source is the world's most powerful neutron source, enabling scientific breakthroughs in research related to materials, energy, health and environment, and addressing some of the most important societal challenges of our time. ESS, currently under construction, is located in the outcasts of Lund. Is a pan-European project with 13 European nations as members, including the host nations Sweden and Denmark and currently employs 480 people from more than 50 countries.
PMI Sweden Chapter invites students and aspiring project managers for company visit of ESS. Come and learn more about ESS, how this European mega project was born and how it is developing. Explore the ESS facility and network with ESS experts as well as other PMI Sweden Chapter Young Professionals.

13:30 – 14:00 : Arrival at ESS (Bus 20 or your own car, parking is free) and register as visitors
14:00 – 14:30 : Introduction to ESS by Dr Emanuele Laface
14:30 – 15:00 : Project Management at ESS by Jörgen Andersson (PMP, head of ESS PMO)
15:00 – 15:30 : Safety induction and dress with PPE (we will provide them)
15:30 – 17:00 : ESS site walk
