ESS & Target Division - Overview and project management in a multicultural environment
ESS, the European Spallation Source is the world's most powerful neutron source, enabling scientific breakthroughs in research related to materials, energy, health and environment, and addressing some of the most important societal challenges of our time. ESS is also one of the largest active infrastructure projects in Europe. It is based in Lund and currently employs 480 people from more than 50 countries.
Håkan Carlsson, a certified PMP, project manager and engineer at the ESS will introduce the ESS project with focus on the ESS Target Station. He will explain why it is built, the current status, how the project is organised and what are the benefits and drawbacks of working in a multicultural environment. Håkan has a PhD in Experimental Nuclear Physics and vast experience in project management from several companies in Skåne.
Refreshments are served during the networking break. Seminar is presented in English language.
